All this "OMG the plastic is still there thousands of years from now!!" nonsense is just a lefty conspiracy to misinform the ignorant into stagnating the economy and causing general deprivation leading to forced rationing and authoritarian collectivism needed to carry out their real aims. Don't fall for it. Real science and facts are leaking out!

An issue for human kind often is the quality of nano particles, when these behave like hormons.
Thus your reproductive capabilities as a man is diminishing since the seventies because of plastic particles in your intestines confuse the message system of your body like a bar of chocolate can do in mysterious ways.

Every month are found about a thousand new materials by scientists. Only few percentage of these are further developed for use in the industry. But nearly none of these new materials are investigated how they behave as nano particles in your intestines. That kind of research costs money without return of investment.

A meta study

We all remember the time asbest was a wonderful thing in our houses, because it would not burn. But nobody knew it degrades to tiny pieces when mechanically stressed, then flying in the air we are breathing and causing lung cancer.

Sounds like bullshit to me.

Virtually everything, both natural and synthetics, breaks down into nano particles floating around in the air.

Puh-leez. You expect me to take the word of some guy from MIT over that of Taylor Swift?

Yes, that's correct. The concern here is, plastic takes longer to decompose than other materials.

And you're a unicorn. That is a white painted zebra with a likewise white painted dildo straped on your forehead.
It's in the wild, you just don't know when to see one.

except, if you read the article, glass and ceramics.

time scale, however, is also important. plastics on the centennial time scale. Surely that minor fact matters?

The problem also appears to be the animal plastic interaction. animals are dying from eating glass. They are dying from plastic.

My gosh, the common poster in Off the Wall visits every niche in the universe. I saw a man who could eat fire when I was a child.

A business plan to solve the problem by making the poor richer

Also there is bacteria which can consume plastics explained in this Ted Talk

But Andrew Forrest plan in the first video has two important advantages:
1. It creates a living for the poorest on earth
2. It reduces the amount of "virgin plastics" and therefore also reduces new input of CO2 into the biosphere when bacteria would solve the problem: With bacteria all of it would end as CO2 and H2O.

Regardless, the only solution to all this shit (pollution, global warming, peak oil, war, disease, degendrification, the idiocracy pandemic) is population reduction. We can do it ourselves like grown-ups, or Mother Nature will do it her way. Mark my words.

Considering the 7.5 billion people on the planet, and there's at least 2.5 billion in 2 of 190+. the burden is on India and China.

The West is sorted, China and India are the real bogeymen.

GET 'EM!

I just had an amazing idea. Remember you heard it here first.

There is one, and only one, alternative to population reduction: make people smaller.

We could genetically engineer all humans to be like hobbit-man, and it would have the same effect as reducing the population IN SOME AREAS. It would resolve all population-driven problems above with the exceptions of disease, degendrification and idiocracy, by reducing per-capita resource consumption and waste production.

I'm a genius.

I'm just sick of all the animals who steal our precious plastics. Greedy turtles et al.

You know who else had the right idea about population control?

Fool. Only homotarians can save the world. Reduces overpopulation, reduces farm land usage, feeds people. There's simply no downside (just stay away from the brains).
