Xfce4 & Multi Gnome Terminal

I emerged the MGT application without incident. While logged in as root with xfce4 running I call multi-gnome-terminal and the application works flawlessly. But when I log in as a normal user, start xfce4, and then call multi-gnome-terminal I get an error that states: "Fatal Server error: Server is already active for display 0." What would I need to change to make this application function as a normal user? Any suggestions?

make sure that the MGT is really killed before trying to run it as a user :-)
