no way dude. and sorry for reporting you. must on some kind of wrong weed yesterday...
@Muso: i do not say that the USA is not doing anything regarding this. But to do more then the standard is necessary as new economies are rising like Brazil burning the Amazon or China burning whatever chemicals needed for the sacred Industry. Just to balance things out. The space on Earth is limited. If the global economy/industry grows more there will be a greater effect on clima than the current one.

regarding the 0.5 decline there is a graph:
https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/QtgsIIYSzFtPbEUr_vNyxe5flSU=/0x0:532x352/920x0/filters:focal(0x0:532x352):no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/13677383/Screen_Shot_2019_01_07_at_12.53.26_PM.png

which says that the major co2 emitter is now the transports. and the growth seams to be steady last 10 years.

In this case: Which country consumes the value produced with a high carbon footprint, but which country is it counted for?

Quote:
The U.S. emitted 15.6 metric tons of CO2 per person in 1950. After rising for decades, it's declined in recent years to 15.8 metric tons per person in 2017, the lowest measured levels in 67 years. That's right. 67 years. Green groups and leftist climate extremists should be exulting. The U.S. has found a way to produce more GDP — making all of us better off — with less energy. Meanwhile, Europe has imposed massive economy-deadening regulations on its economies in order to reduce CO2 output. How has that worked? Last year, European output of CO2 rose 1.5%, while U.S. output fell 0.5%. For the record, the disaster predicted when President Trump left the Paris climate agreement and rejected draconian EPA restrictions on power plants hasn't materialized. On the contrary, the U.S. model has been shown to be superior.

For your edification, ulenrich. YOU are part of the problem!

The U.S. levels back CO2 output to just the number of 1995 ... not a 67 years record. You can easily look at the graph here: statista.com

If the U.S. had such records nowadays you wouldn't go after Greta but you would say:
"Please Greta, take us as your example. USA is the best"

Reductions of the USA since the year 2000 is 14%
There are better countries.

Activists blocked roads, bridges and squares all over London's government district of Westminster on Monday.

it seems that the governments do not like traffic blockades.

I realize English might not be your primary language, so I will type slowly so you might understand. In the article YOU posted, protestors were unfurling banners that said, "Burn Capitalism, not Petrol." You might notice that in my post that quoted yours, I bolded that phrase. THAT was what I was referring. THOSE people are watermelons. Green on the outside, red on the inside. Whether you are a watermelon or not, I do not know, and was never referring to you. And I can guarantee that I am not a watermelon. I am not a bot. I fucking hate communists. They are scum of the world. That sick ideology is responsible for more deaths in the 20th century than any other.

I hope that clears things up for you.

how is the law in USA now? the communist party is still forbidden by the law? i am not up to date regarding what is going on in your country. for me it seems you have got a lot of brainwash from corps who mark anything which goes against them as communist according to your last answers.

As far as I know, the Communist Party USA has never been outlawed. There are different "Worker's Parties" in every Presidential election. It was proven after the fall of the USSR that the CPUSA was taking marching orders (colluding) from Moscow since the early 1920s.

Due to the first amendment no political parties can be banned, including the KKK (which is technically not a political party, but you get the point) and Nazi party. Only advocacy for the violent overthrow of government or other calls to violence. This can get members of parties arrested, of course, including party leaders.

Senator Joe McCarthy launched his investigation looking for Communists really came down to nothing more than a smear list. Individuals where publicly labeled as communists and anyone associated with them would also become "communists" and investigated. It amounted to politically bulling which is why the Supreme Court stepped in and stopped it. The hearings where always pointless because being a communist was never illegal. Basically just another #metoo movement that involved calling out people to get them fired or else.

Personally I prefer political parties with disgusting ideologies out in the open instead hiding in other parties and pretending to be socially acceptable to get elected. That is why I won't vote for a Democrat until further notice.

Is Giridharadas the kind of Demacrat propagating socialism you wouldn't vote for?
Or don't you like the Lgbt/minority/identity politics of Democrats?

FFS...

I'l type slowly.

When mrbassie quipped about the race card, he was making a joke. As a 16 year old Swedish girl throwing a temper tantrum should definitely not get a Nobel Prize. I got the joke, I laughed... it was funny.

Not a joke
Fox Business recognized a profitable way to make money with Climate Change at the cost the climate changes more.
Like this quote regarding the attitude of people towards the climate issue:
Quote:
There are people believing there is a crisis of climate change
and there are all the other who will pay later because of it!!
