A must read
Has anyone seen a "deep dive" on the ban? Historical statements? Others have been accused of harassment, etc. Seems relevant. Otherwise this just reinforces that social media platofrms continue to ignore / tolerate / condone certain forms of speech which would previously have been considered unacceptable.

That freak is friends with @biz on Twitter and was getting cover from another Canadian TRA (one who actually holds elected office). They are wielding power like power mad despots. This is trans-tyranny.

No idea who or what @biz is. Canada has passed laws which appear to be very unfotunate. Maybe the manner in which the law is being applied will lead to a correction. I'm certainly not going there.

They need to repeal the nonsense and embrace free speech.

“Jessica isn’t powerful”... well this business that I’m taking to the BC Human Rights Tribunal on Friday no longer exists at @MetropolisatMet after I let the landlord know about it.

Pure trans-tyranny. #WaxMyBalls

one of the articles you linked to talked about the silence of the media. CBC in particular. Shameful.

That is because the MSM and entertainment media are part of the insane left, and have been pushing the agenda. As far as CBC is concerned, it would be shameful to be critical of Mr. Yaniv.

On a separate note, both the University of British Columbia and the Vancouver Public Library have been banned from this year's pride parade? There offence? Allowing "anti-trans" "hate propaganda". Basically, they recently had speakers critical of the trans movement.
I love it when you lefties eat one another.

A regular circular firing squad! lol

both should come out and say that free expression and giving a platform to controversial ideas is worth more than a parade. Parades are welcome to shutdown free thought, but universities are not.

OK, well that just reinforces the lack of credibility of social media. Maybe they're association isn't limited to Twitter.

I agree they ought to, but not many countries seem to thnk highly of free speech. Putting that aside, it seems more reasonable to aim for reduced insanity. Maybe this will be enough of a mockery of law to move toward protecting free speech. I doubt it.

Indeed

Sadly, you're probably right. Canada's just going straight down the WOKE toilet.

I'm still hopeful that they'll recognize what "going too far" means. Is that optimism, or delusion?

So far down that the woke toilet is blocked. Hopefully, they'll start cleaning it so it flows.

Hope springs eternal...

I've been warning friends about PC nonsense since 1990. I saw it in university, and I saw as for what it was, a 1984 attack on free speech. Carlin said it well, "Political correctness is fascism masquerading as manners". But, according to the left I'm a Nazi because I support free speech.

Thing is a degree of PC has always existed as phases are deemed offensive and impolite "don't say n#####"

An example in the UK is the term coloured and black. For quite some time, society was conditioned to refer to those of african decent as coloured (sorry... white society was conditioned...) as ways to not be offensive. Ironically this became offensive http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6132672.stm http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/30999175/warning-why-using-the-term-coloured-is-offensive and just this year... https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2019/03/lets-calm-down-about-amber-rudds-coloured-gaffe/ These people came from a generation when refering to black people as coloured was the accepted non-offensive norm. This is deemed offensive. society changes. What has happened though is the combination of PC and identity politics, coupled with that abomination called "social media" giving the militant aspects of this a platform, a place to collate like minded individuals to form their own echo chamber to reinforce such views rather than have wider views due to other interactions.

The last is technically not - currently at least - a gay rights issue. Also, the bigot appears to be incorrectly depicted.

Indeed, but it is what happens when "gay rights" starts getting expanded into all sorts of ludicrous territory. Just have one, flat set of rights for all citizens. No special classes.

thing is... this is what we need. The woke left are soo unhinged that this is the manifestation of what they have aggressively pushed. people need to wake up and actually think about what they are pushing

Sadly, I think you're right. So many people seem incapable of extrapolating a concept. While many of us can see these outcomes when crazy ideas are proposed, others just ignore all possible negative outcomes because the idea "feels" good to them.

“Jessica” Yaniv UNHINGED! Press For Truth ASSAULTED At Tribunal Hearings!!!

Quote:
I had to sit there and watch this guy try to wrangle $40,000 out of these women for literally not waxing his genitals.

This is what this court case is all about, using Canadian law to force other women to touch his penis

Just priceless. Hold on! Illegal weapon. We have to invade that home!

This guy from Hung King-Kong enlightened me a bit what is going on in this case (BitChute).
He doeas a sensible approach and seems like an intelligent young man. He even refer Jess as a she.
