i get the following error when trying to start the linux version of q3. im not sure if i installed it correctly. i emerged quake3 and put my windows installation in /opt/quake3. something seems to be wrong with the opengl driver.yes, i installed nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx and they are running!

You said you installed the nvidia stuff..
Make sure you run 'update-opengl nvidia'
In your /etc/X11/XF86Config file you have
Load "glx" at the top uncommented... |

its "opengl-update nvidia" just to make sure
and also the driver in the device section, has to be changed from "nv" to "nvidia" |
