Hello,
I've had many problems switching to the 17.1 profiles. I'm not sure whether it is related to this, but when trying to emerge lcms i get the following error message:

I've downloaded the source from several different places, including manually, and I always get the same, so the problem seems to be in the Manifest.
I've also tried to rebuild the Manifest with
| Code: | | ebuild --force lcms-2.9.ebuild manifest |
but then I get a different error when emerge tries to apply a patch and fails (I can provide more details on this if necessary).
Any ideas on what is going on will be much appreciated!

Please show me the output of

It should be:
| Code: | | -rw-rw-r-- 1 portage portage 10953949 Nov 14 2017 /usr/portage/distfiles/lcms2-2.9.tar.gz |
If the file size is NOT 10953949 bytes, then try
| Code: | cd /tmp
wget http://ftp.tu-clausthal.de/pub/linux/gentoo/distfiles/lcms2-2.9.tar.gz
ls -la lcms2-2.9.tar.gz # Does this file have a size of 10953949 bytes?
cp lcms2-2.9.tar.gz /usr/portage/distfiles/
chown portage:portage /usr/portage/distfiles/lcms2-2.9.tar.gz
chmod oug+r /usr/portage/distfiles/lcms2-2.9.tar.gz
ls -la /usr/portage/distfiles/lcms2-2.9.tar.gz

OK! So the version from:

does indeed have the right size and signatures, and compiles without problems. So I guess this solves the problem, thank you so much, Mike!
Now, why was I having problems with versions from other repositories? |
