Looks like anokadi is not able to load the mysql DB:

akonadi spits out this on the terminal following a 'akonadictl restart':

org.kde.pim.akonadicore: Failed to open external payload: "/home/devsk/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/04/4_r3401" "No such file or directory"

I see that there is a "/home/devsk/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/04/4_r3402" file present. What does this mean really? Did a mariadb version change trigger an incompatibility? Do I need to rebuild something?

Is there a way to recover my notes or are they all gone? knotes has done this in the past and I have lost stuff over time but I thought it was becoming solid in last few years.

Hi devsk

from an old post in the KDE blogs "the Akonadi database is NOT your MAIN data storage"

If the software architecture is still the same, the KNotes data should be stored somewhere else

Following another (more recent) post in KDE forum, notes should be stored in ~/.local/share/notes/

Hope this helps

That's really old. Nothing useful in that folder.

Something is really busted with akonadi and mariadb.

Anybody looking for this issue, see here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/63025

It was a mariadb upgrade issue.
