Hi all!
After recent update all my partitions and places disappeared from Dolphin's left panel. Only two items left: Home and Root.
It occurred after recent update (there was a number of kde-frameworks/* packages updated).
Attached usb sticks also missing. Device notifier doesn't show any attached devices, though dmesg and fdisk shows these devices and I can mount them from konsole and access them through their mount point.

Any idea what is going on?

Thanks in advance.

Seems another one use flag became mandatory.
This time it's a "udev" flag for kde-frameworks/solid
Rebuilding this package with udev flag fixed an issue.

You don't use a desktop profile, do you?

It's the other way round. udev was always mandatory, now it is optional, with the observed consequences.

Code:
[19]  default/linux/amd64/17.0/desktop/plasma (stable) *

How did my system work with "-udev" till now?
Looks like USE flags are just a fake, you can put any values into make.conf or package.use and your flags set will be ignored.

No, you misunderstand... kde-frameworks/solid did not provide USE udev until 5.58.

Setting a USE flag only works on packages providing the USE flag. It doesn't make hard-deps go away, so up to now you had been using udev all the time.
