Hello,

I would like to experiment with an old free GrSecurity (like in minipli repository).

What I already did:

Installed Gentoo i486 onto chrooted ext3 over zvol and now it is bootable fine inside a KVM with a grsec kernel from Heads Linux LiveCD (Devuan + GrSec).


Please let me know, what is the best way to get Gentoo hardened including hardened GCC for i486 (not i686 as offered on gentoo.org).

Can I somehow convert already installed Gentoo i486 to a Hardened Gentoo i486 (NOT i686 as offered)

Is i686 more secure than i486 due to some CPU features?
