Hello, actually, i learn about intrusion test and how to use metasploit, and i make test with my pc and an other pc.

I have question. To test intrusion with metasploit with msfconsole, i need to know ip adress target. There is a way or program to scan pc around me and track ip address?

nmap should be able to scan for online hosts, instead of giving it an IP, you can give it a range (192.168.0.1-10) or netblock (192.168.0.0/24).

If it is your laptop then you should not have any problems determining its IP address. You are not trying any unauthorized scans, are you?

Fulgurance,

Its illegal in many places to scan networks you don't own, or at least, have the owners permission.
At best you will get a nastygram from your ISP.
At worst, someone will retaliate.

A scan is usually seen as as hostile, since its the first step in an attack.
