A mass shooting happened by a disgruntled employee. He murdered eleven people (current count). Earlier this year, the GOP legislature blocked a red flag bill.

This is going to happen now. While I'm happy they probably won't get a ban of any kind, they'll still get gun confiscation without due process. Well, at least the left is focusing on the who instead of the what. An improvement, for sure, but not "good."

Most likely a few weeks of politicians crying about how they need to do something until its forgotten about.

We all know sensible gun control laws are not on the table. The left hates them because they want the issue and the right are tired of being told they are evil for existing.

Time to disarm lolgov. Only law abiding private citizens should be armed.

lolgov are the ones who showed up and killed this raging dickhole.

I want both police and citizens to be armed.

Sorry, your personal nuclear weapons have already been confiscated by the nanny-state.

Not sure why they don't respect your right to defend yourself by killing other people.

There is a fundamental logical problem with red flag laws. They are for taking guns away from people who might be a danger to others or themselves. Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you people, but that's what guns are for. That's why the Constitution guarantees us the right to carry them: so we can be a danger to people. It makes us capable of defending our human rights, and there can be no more fundamental a right than the ability to defend them.

The law needs to be worded more carefully. This is how we end up with crap like protesting injustice being labeled "hate speech". It's not about "being a danger to one's self or others"; it's about breaking the law. Really, it's got nothing to do with firearms; it's about breaking the law. It's illegal to do illegal things with firearms, just like it's illegal do those things without them.

We don't live in a "precrime" state, where you can be denied your rights based on somebody's magical opinion that you are likely to commit a crime. That's called "profiling". It's what racists do. It's also what Obama tried to do to military veterans, because Democrats are afraid that people capable of defending themselves might use violence to stop them from violating people's rights. Remember, when he put out what amounts to an "all points bulletin" telling every law enforcement officer in the country to be on the lookout for military veterans and Ron Paul supporters, because they were probably domestic terrorists (i.e., a danger to themselves or others)?

You know what we SHOULD be doing, though? We should be making it illegal for stupid people to drive.
