These both that are in portage
kwordquiz-18.08.3.ebuild kwordquiz-18.12.3.ebuild

Cannot open created words list from the app :( , from command line they are affected by 20 words limit from bug.

Something should be done, it used to work and its was very good program..

Both versions are unusable that are in portage now :(

With the latest version it cant save the wordlist you have written if not the file is named .kvtml, if the word list is named .kvtml it cant be opened - ir gices error the file is allready opened elsewhere :) removing .kvtml and it shows only 20 pairs :(

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365312
"On UBUNTU 16.04 when I load a file which was created with wordquiz in Ubuntu 12.04, only the first 20 entries of the quiz are shown.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open kwordquiz on Ubuntu 16.04
2. Open kvtml file with greater than 20 entires (note, file was made using version that was available with 12.04 in 2012
3. Only 20 questions are displayed when file should have over 100

Actual Results:
Only 20 questions are displayed when file should have over 100

Expected Results:
Entire file with 200 plus questions is displayed

The quiz file was created in 2012 and functioned normally at that time. Trying to use today and it does not work on kwordquiz with Ubuntu 16.04. I even tried installing the full kubuntu desktop and the results did not change. I was able to re-produce this error on different machines using 16.,04."

Coud it be fixed that so that the 20 words limit is taken away please anyone? It partially works if launched from commandline eg. kwordquiz en2.kvtml - but it shows only 20 word pairs :(

According to the linked bug report, the limit of 20 appears to be an arbitrary and inappropriate limit. Fixing this properly (to allow loading any reasonable file) is not trivial. Fixing it with a hack to raise the limit to a different, but less restrictive, arbitrary limit is probably easy. Change the 20 in the for loop to 200, recompile, and test.

How do I digest the source after edited source? If i copy the ebuild to a local overlay - where should the source code be in?

It is weird that this hasnt been fixed since it has been reported years ago, 20 words is very small limit :)

Code:

Koodi:
# ebuild myebuild fetch (if you don't have it in distfiles)
# ebuild myebuild unpack (unpacked to /var/tmp/portage/packagename/something)
# ebuild myebuild compile
# ebuild myebuild install
# ebuild myebuild qmerge

This fixed my problem - for now :)
