Hello, I've installed gentoo in VirtualBox successfully(it was very fun and informative btw!) and now I am trying to work Xorg to install xfce.
I have followed the Xorg guide on the wiki and also the nVidia guide. Once i ran nvidia-xconfig startx tells me No screens are found. Cant really tell what the log file is saying either. I tried to troubleshoot myself looking around the internet but no luck.

Here is my Xorg.0.log:

Welcome to Gentoo

Unless you took extra steps to pass your nVidia graphics card to the VM you will have a virtual graphics card (vboxvideo).

I see no errors. X sever is ready, apparently there is nothing running on it, so it terminates. You need to run at least an X application on it, if not whole Desktop Environment.

lekim,

As jaglover says, Xorg worked, found nothing to do and exited correctly.
The traditional test environment is provided by
Code:
emerge -1av twm xterm xclock

It is not installed unless you ask for it.

What do those options do for emerge and why might you want to use them?
