Hello Guys,

I try to connect my iPhone X (iOS 12) to my gentoobox. It shows up in nautilus, idevicename and so on don't throw any errors.

If I mount it with ifuse, I can see my playlists and music in gtkpod but I can't modify anything. The reason might be, that I can't choose newer iPhones beyond iPhone 4 from the list of devices.

Also I tried to use rhythmbox (emerged with ios USE-flag), because it is said, that this one works for actual models. But in rhythmbox the iPhone doesn't appear at all.

Anyone ran in this issue before, or anyone has a hint?

Greetings,
Roman

There has not been support for any newer devices since a very long time ago (which is why everything is read-only in gtkpod). In particular, the iTunes database on any iOS device is hashed and any modifications will be detected. The Music app on iOS will reset the data.
