|So old JB's he's trying to tidy things up in the garden and there's a beech tree, it's trimmed to a hedge type thing - but there are a few branches that need taking down.
So I grab me hacksaw and start to work, one branch needs steadying so I hold with me left hand and work the hacksaw down. Then the blade slips and draw it across my thumbnail.
Ever have one of those cuts ? The one where you're a bit afraid to look and kind of spend a moment or two to get the courage up ? Yep I managed to cut across the nail and it bled like a stuck pig too.
So I have everything wrapped up, may lose the nail, but on the plus side the tree is trimmed. Sometimes I hate nature.
Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood"
