Hello,
I try every day or 2 days a new way with gentoo (deleting everything and starting over) just to learn as much possible about gentoo.
I knew from earlier days when installing xorg-server i should include twm xclock and xterm.
But somehow i can't get the green menu anymore .. or resize windows or even open a new xterm with the right mouse button menu upon installing xorg-server
what do i miss?
sincerely,

I believe the green menu you're talking about is part of twm, and apparently twm is not starting anymore.
I sort of despise the default xinit but that's how xorg distributes is I suppose...
Question now is what works and what doesn't work. Are you using startx/xinit ? Do you get the xterm windows?
If xterm windows are loaded, you can try running twm to see if it's installed and working.
it should enable your mouse buttons on root to open a window. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
