I have followed the instructions in the sparc install howto but all I continiously get is all abauilds that could satisfy * have been masked. Even a scripts/bootstrap.sh comes with this!
I have read here that there is no option to turn that maks stuff off so that's not an option. I have read people editting the textfile themself, but I hardly think rewriting the complety file by hand for an emerge system (wich should come next) is the way to go.
Am I forgetting something or whut? |

I had emerge update world die (on glibc) and now all packages are masked (there seems to be a circular dependency chain involving glibc). Any good fixes for this? |

check if /etc/make.profile is still a valid link.
I had the same issue with everything being masked and found once I re-established a link it started working again.
Try: ln -sf ln -sf /usr/portage/profiles/default-sparc64-1.4 /etc/make.profile |

I'm having this problem currently as I apparently can't get a copy of g++ or c++. Either of which is needed to the emerge system to run.
wtf. |
