I use to use Shorewall and changed to another after a total reinstall. I decided to move back, but in doing the installation I'm running into
an error and I'm unsure how to fix it, even after many searches. Here is the error when starting shorewall:
Code: | shorewall start
Compiling using Shorewall 5.2.1.2...
Processing /etc/shorewall/params ...
Processing /etc/shorewall/shorewall.conf...
Loading Modules...
libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/virtualbox.conf line 2: ignoring bad line starting with 'vboxdrv'
libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/virtualbox.conf line 4: ignoring bad line starting with 'vboxnetadp'
libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/virtualbox.conf line 6: ignoring bad line starting with 'vboxnetflt'
libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/virtualbox.conf line 8: ignoring bad line starting with 'vboxpci'

Of course it repeats many times. When I control out of that also get this:
ERROR: Per-ip log rate limiting requires Hashlimit Match in your kernel and iptables /usr/share/shorewall/helpers (EOF)
which I thought I had fixed by a change to the kernel.
Virtualbox works fine. I use it to run openSUSE so I can run BricsCAD, which runs well.
At this point I have no firewall.
