UK ‘porn block’ starts April 1

The 5 quid they will collected from everyone will go to fund their newest police service, looking for unlicensed wankers.

Of course not. That is why you create a system that allows the students the ability to choose the right one for them. And I'd include things like software engineering in there. You can learn Java and programming theory and be writing production code in a few months. I'm using trade very loosely here to mean a career that makes money. Many of which are now guarded by degrees that are not actually necessary. Like writing code or flying an airplane, which unbelievably still requires a BS degree if you want to fly for the big carriers.

Did you just say what I think I heard?
Code:
Goddamnit. Learn how to code you moron.
As you said, I do too take, what you said, very loosely :)

What we, men, should take up with society is why males die at younger age - I am outrageous! We should be able to live just as long as the other sexes!

....Paygap?

And in completely unrelated news, VPN sales and TOR downloads are through the roof in the UK...

Hipster Pissed Over His Photo in Article on Hipsters Looking the Same… But It’s a Different Hipster

You know who else was abused as a child? Just about every serial killer on record. In many cases, psychologists have pointed to it as the root cause for their behavior. The focus of your argument seems to be that such abusive conditioning absolves them of responsibility. I'd say you're off base there.

The less clearly emphasized part of your position is that it's their immaturity that absolves them of responsibility: that they're too young to know right from wrong. I'd say you're off base there as well. This child is 12, and that's old enough to know. While 12 is too young to be charged as an adult (except where it can be explicitly shown they did know, which is done in some violent cases), most jurisdictions have juvenile court systems that can impose appropriate and rehabilitative sentences. Particularly if the parents' influence is a factor, and given the highly antisocial nature of the crime, a year away from home under reformatory discipline might be exactly what's called for.

The parents can also be held partly criminally responsible and/or can be held civilly responsible for the harm done.

You know how many abused children become serial killers? Almost none. You know how many kids do stupid stuff for attention? Almost 100%.

How do you fix a situation where a child is being exploited? Take the child away from the parents and let someone competent parent them. How do you fix a kid doing stupid stuff? Let the parent parent them. If that fails you have a delinquent teen and then law enforcement is appropriate.

Taking a 12 year old to prison is how you scar them for life and ensure they will be antisocial. Over a little bit of chalk.

And exactly what was done? Writing a few words with chalk on a sidewalk. Maybe we should talk about a crime fitting the punishment and snowflakes not going berserk over a little chalk. Maybe you should talk to some 12 year old and find out just how undeveloped their logic is. Most of them can't even handle basic math, let alone any higher order reasoning. They are mostly, if not totally, ignorant of politics. If anything they can parrot what they have been told to say. But they are very good at getting attention. If writing two bad words can get a rise out of people you can be sure they are writing them down.

As this is literally a political crime, and a thought crime at that, any suggestion the kid really know what was up is absurd. As is calling it a hate crime. The first amendment protects individuals right to believe and communicate as they see fit. You can't ban something because it hurts people's feelings and this is exactly that. The crime of street chalk is small pennies that doesn't merit an arrest under any circumstance.

Abstract.
In such different domains as statistical physics, neurosciences, spin glasses, social sci-
ence, economics and finance, large ensemble of interacting individuals evolving following (main-
stream) or against (hipsters) the majority are ubiquitous. Moreover, in a variety of applications,
interactions between agents occur after specific delays that depends on the time needed to trans-
port, transmit or take into account information. This paper focuses on the role of opposition
to majority and delays in the emerging dynamics in a population composed of mainstream and
anti-conformist individuals. To this purpose, we introduce a class of simple statistical system of
interacting agents taking into account (i) the presence of mainstream and anti-conformist indi-
viduals and (ii) delays, possibly heterogeneous, in the transmission of information. In this simple
model, each agent can be in one of two states, and can change state in continuous time with a
rate depending on the state of others in the past. We express the thermodynamic limit of these
systems as the number of agents diverge, and investigate the solutions of the limit equation,
with a particular focus on synchronized oscillations induced by delayed interactions. We show
that when hipsters are too slow in detecting the trends, they will consistently make the same
choice, and realizing this too late, they will switch, all together to another state where they
remain alike. Another modality synchronizing hipsters are asymmetric interactions, particularly
when the cross-interaction between hipsters and mainstreams aree prominent, i.e. when hipsters
radically oppose to mainstream and mainstreams wish to follow the majority, even when led by
hipsters. We demonstrate this phenomenon analytically using bifurcation theory and reduction
to normal form. We find that, in the case of asymmetric interactions, the level of randomness
in the decisions themselves also leads to synchronization of the hipsters. Beyond the choice of
the best suit to wear this winter, this study may have important implications in understanding
synchronization of nerve cells, investment strategies in finance, or emergent dynamics in social
science, domains in which delays of communication and the geometry of information accessibility
are prominent.

The title of that study is fashion. The subject of the study is fashion. Fashion comes fashion goes. The core remains stable.

But, they offended people. Maybe you didn't get the memo, but that's now a violation of your society's norms. It was hate speech, and hate speech means you should at least get put on a list or something. at least you agree with taking the children away from the parents though; everybody knows only the state can raise children properly. In all honesty, though, taking global warming into account, they really should be made into Soylent sausages.

Abused sociopaths do get voilent. Usually it's the mother abusing that sick kid (to begin with). If you've read that paper.
Only once have they seen such a strange case with Bundy. No nothing. Still close to the perfect 'victim'.
But, if you want to talk without your ass hanging out, do as I always do, read the fakking manual....Abused by their mothers, psychopatic human beings, tend to get violent and murderous towards women.

Why is it you refuse to actually address The actual arguments presented? Is it possibly because you don't have one?

Anyway,

Literally the problem that really needs to be addressed. Offending people is protected by the first amendment and required for a free society.
Bones McCracker wrote:

No, it means someone invited thought crime and patted themselves on the back for it. All hate crime legislation needs to get struck from the books.
Bones McCracker wrote:

In many cases you must choose between the lesser of two evils. The state has been raising kids that have either lost or been removed from their parents for a very long time. Basically since prehistory. The reality is sometimes parents are not up to the job and someone else needs to step in. Sometimes that was the religious caste that would do so. Sometimes it was the politicians. In either case, it was a state actor. This is never the ideal solution but sometimes it is necessary. Kind of like killing someone. It is never the ideal situation but sometimes self defense requires it.

A great #WalkAway video that tells me how deep it runs for normal people and, to be demeaning, lower than that ( from june/july -18 ) :

Now, I am a proud citizen of the universe, but as with folders in a NAS, I like to stay in the same folder as intended. You can take that to the bank.

That almost seems like a set up. Obviously it takes a reasonable amount of intelligence to get a J.D. and pass the bar. Maybe he was just desperate due to some of his other financial problems. Trying to strong arm a company with as much money and as many lawyers as Nike is probably less likely to succeed than robbing a bank.

According to what I heard, he is several million in debt and hasn't filed a tax return in quite a few years. You can be sure the IRS wants millions more he doesn't have. Not to mention clients he has defrauded. Desperate is probably accurate.
