I see I had fuse-2.9.7 installed, which source tarball amounted to 600k. Today I got upgrade to fuse-2.9.8, but the source tarball is now 4.5 Mb. More over, it requires fuse-common-3.2.6, which has
and additional 1.4 Mb source. Anybody knows what new functionality this almost 10 times increase in source size brought us ? |

The total unpacked size of fuse-2.9.8 is 32.2 Mb
30.1 Mb of that are docs+examples
The rest is 2.1 Mb, or even less, if we will take into account that installation files (configure, makefile, install e.t.c) takes 1.5 Mb or so.
So the sources is less than 1 Mb. Just 3% of total size |

As Blind_Sniper the size increase it's caused by doc, but final size without doc and example is lower

Thanks for explanation ! So docs and examples is the source of the increase.
Though your final size count is incomplete, since 2.9.8 also installs fuse-common-3.2.6, which needs to be added. The last part also makes me a bit worried that we are going into multi-slot versioning for fuse |
