https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php/64343-Root-actions-service-menu-s-Problem
According to this thread, when I click "installl", I should get a password prompt, but I don't get that. It just tells me it installed. Then when I try to use the root actions service I get an error saying "could not find the program rootactions-servicemenu.pl"
Anyone else encounter this? Any way to fix? |

That service menu (at least the one described in your link) is for KDE SC 4, which is gone from Gentoo for a long time. Addons you install through GHNS do not need any password prompt, they are installed for your user account locally. So it likely was installed, only it just won't work.
Perhaps rootactions-menu actually needs to be installed in system dirs - then the distribution via GHNS is just wrong, it needs to be packaged with an ebuild. |
