Just quick question:
- Does Gentoo kde plasma desktop profile include zero conf, that need to be configured?
- Does Gentoo include some sort of avahi-daemon(s) that can be turned off?
(on Debian that would be the avahi-daemon.socket and avahi-daemon.service) |

The desktop profile for Plasma does not automatically come with zeroconf stuff. You need to add USE flags zeroconf and avahi.
You can turn them off. /etc/init.d/avahi-daemon stop, start, etc. If you choose to use systemd, the commands are the same as Arch. |
