Hello!
It seems that the set of net-voip options in Gentoo is getting thinner and thinner, with ekiga gone, linphone falling behind, and with telepathy[-rakia]... whose KDE interface smells stale.
The other offer is "yate". It is offered with a graphical client, and if I get it right that GUI is not compiled in Gentoo and/because it depends on Qt4.
Is there any way to use yate for SIP?
Otherwise, what can I try, sticking to FOSS? Ideally, I am looking for something like Linphone (but up to date).
Thank you! |

You could use an Overlay, many of which are listed here and in particular Linphone looks to be available right up to date.
Obviously there could be questions with the quality of ebuilds from outside the main tree |
