Hi Everyone, I am trying to modify the filer permission and give access to few users based on their roles . I am using setfacl for this purpose, however when I try to do that I get the below error -

Quote:
setfacl -m monit:rwx /home/abc/xyz.sh
setfacl: /home/abc/xyz.sh: Operation not supported

I am not sure how to get over this. Appreciate all your help and thanks in advance.

Hello.

Probably a matter of setting acl mount option where relevant in your fstab.

guitou: please look at https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Filesystem/Access_Control_List_Guide, especially at the kernel options and filesystem mount options.
