Well. I installed from a stage 3 tar and emerged kde last week with no problems after emerg world and emerge portage.
This week, I started with a stage 1 and have tried all of that and emerge kde fails. I have emerged world and rsynced and portage and python. Here is the error.
Code: |

This happens on both emerge -p kde and emerge kde
I am really at a loss. kde installed on the same machine last week no problems. i just wanted to do a stage 1 instead of stage 3. all other settings and defaults are the same as last week.
Thanks in advance for any input or guidance

Well, after reading all the threads....again....and me convincing myself that I had not installed postgres yet(which I have not) I checked my USE variable. Sure enough...removing postgres solved my problem and I am emerging kde as I type. Thanks for making me read the threads again.
