|I've seen another thread regarding this problem but the french link posted as (part of?) the solution was not much help.
I have emerged gtkmm 2.4.5
Latest version available: 2.4.5
Latest version installed: 2.4.5
Size of downloaded files: 3,843 kB
Description: C++ interface for GTK+2
which apparently generates a packade
|gtkmm-2.4 gtkmm - C++ wrapper for GTK+ |
This does not work with the gtkglextmm package as it looks for ``gtkmm-2.0''
|checking for gtkglext-1.0 >= 1.0.0 gdkglext-1.0 >= 1.0.0 gtkmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0 gdkmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0 pangomm-1.0 >= 2.0.0 ... Package gtkmm-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtkmm-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtkmm-2.0' found
configure: error: Library requirements (gtkglext-1.0 >= 1.0.0 gdkglext-1.0 >= 1.0.0 gtkmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0 gdkmm-2.0 >= 2.0.0 pangomm-1.0 >= 2.0.0 ) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

I'm not sure where the problem is, if it's the gtkglextmm-people I'm supposed to yell at for not supporting later versions of gtkmm2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
