So I recently installed gentoo on my thinkpad x200 and I want to disable both bluetooth and the bluetooth LED light that appears on the hinge. Disabling bluetooth isn't a big issue, I can either run "#rc-service bluetooth stop" or "#rfkill bluetooth block" and both methods disable bluetooth like I want. However, the LED indicator is still on even though I know bluetooth is off (rfkill and powertop both confirm it is disabled). I've searched the internet for other possible ways to disable bluetooth (in case those methods will turn off the light) and the two methods I consistently come across use either the file located in /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth or /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/bluetooth_enable. However, these files do not exist on my computer. This is the case even though I have the "ThinkPad ACPI Laptop Extras" kernel module installed. The only time I can get the LED light to go off is when I use the hardware network kill switch. Perhaps there is a way to manually adjust the thinkpad LEDs on the hinge? |
