|
|
I have steam up and running on my Linux system after following these instructions: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Steam
I am about to start trying some of the non-native Linux games (via Steam's Proton) and noticed that my system has
games-util/steam-meta-0-r20160817 installed but there is also a games-util/steam-games-meta-0-r20180619 available and with a newer version.
Should I switch from steam-meta to steam-games-meta? (Currently I'm thinking "If it ain't broke don't 'fix' it.")
What is the difference between steam-meta and steam-games-meta ?

Are two different things, one is a meta packages for steam env and other is for steam games.
In addition steam-games-meta is a dependency of steam-meta _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

Thank you. I didn't realize they were different. (I was thinking that Steam was synonymous with games.) |
