I am using dantrell gnome. when I ssh -Y from my mac I get this error.
I tried
.ssh/config: | Host codereview.qt-project.org
Port 29418
User necktwi
IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa
Ciphers +aes256-cbc
Host *
ForwardAgent yes
ForwardX11 yes
XAuthLocation /usr/bin/xauth |

On the Mac, you can run X programs normally from the shell where you start the ssh? OSX's main window system is not based on X11, so unless you took special effort to have an X server, you likely have no X server and no xauth data. |

I do have xquartz on mac. I remember me opening x11 remote ubuntu apps. |
