Hey,

converting jpg to pdf results in an error

Code:
convert *rot.jpg wut.pdf
convert: not authorized `PDF' @ error/constitute.c/IsCoderAuthorized/408.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks and best regards,

Frink

Converting in PS, EPS, PDF and XPS are disabled for security reason see https://bugs.gentoo.org/664236 .
You can workaround it, commenting line
Code:
  <policy domain="coder" rights="none" pattern="PDF" />

in /etc/ImageMagick-7/policy.xml

fedeliallalinea, Prof. Fink ... I think the proper solution is to disable imagemagicks auto detection of input filetype:

Code:
$ convert jpg:*rot.jpg wut.pdf

... that way you're not automatically accepting input is what it claims to be (which is the basis for the policy).

best ... khay

fedeliallalinea ... I see, so the policy is effective regardless of whether automagic is in use or not :P Well, worth a try I suppose.

best ... khay
