debugging grub2 to serial

Greetings,

I'm trying to get grub2 to dump debug logs to serial to check why my machine dones't boot. what can I add to grub2's cfg in order to be able to see grub dump logs to serial.
the issue is that the partitions are get identified. I'd like to see what grub tells us if possible.
I've tried set pager=1 and set debug=all but no logs.
