what keeps resetting dconf-editor's folder setting?

So, I prefer to have folders set so they always show at the top of a directory listing in my gui file managers. This goes for Spacefm (an underrated file manager! It has nice clean features!), as well as the one used by gtk apps.

In dconf-editor, under "org→gtk→settings→file chooser" there is the option "sort-directories-first", which I checked to be set in the "ON" position. But now, a few hours later, when I use the open-file dialog in Opera, it's back to sorting directories mixed in with files.

First: how do I find out what program is resetting this?
Second: how can I stop it from doing so?
