|
|
I am running an external D/A converter fed by the SPDIF output of my Supermicro X10SRA mainboard.
The external D/A converter has 24 Bit resolution and 96 kHz sampling frequency.
In /etc/pulse/daemon.conf threre are several options.
The most interesting settings for me are:
1. Sampling frequency (settings clear)
2. Bit resolution (like s16le and s24le): I am sure how to understand that... |

I reflected about the syntax of the pulse audio config:
Bit resolution: s16le, s24le, s32le -> 16, 24, 32 Bit
Sampling frequency: 44100 Hz, 48000 Hz, 96000 Hz and 19200 Hz |

And the "le" after the bit resolution means floating point. |
