I can no longer open urxvt so I'm trying to open a shell somehow so I can fix my ~/.Xdefaults. |

Can you open an xterm and fix it from there? If not, what about logging in over ssh or switching to a text console? As a worst case, you could use a rescue environment, but I highly doubt that your system is broken enough to make that the least disruptive solution. There are many ways you can fix this, but they all depend on specific properties of your system that you may have configured differently from what we expect. |
