| Do you mean the boot kernel on the cd? Otherwise, 1.2 and 1.3 already have smp support, (if you eneble smp in the kernel when you compile it) |

nano -w /etc/make.globals
change:
MAKEOPTS="-j2" to MAKEOPTS="-j#" # = whatever # you want.
