Do you mean the boot kernel on the cd? Otherwise, 1.2 and 1.3 already have smp support, (if you eneble smp in the kernel when you compile it)

no on the ISO, so when I am compiling my system it will use both cpus.

nano -w /etc/make.globals

change:

MAKEOPTS="-j2" to MAKEOPTS="-j#" # = whatever # you want.
