Hallo zusammen,

mein Drucker hat den Geist aufgegeben und ich suche nen neuen.
In der Firma hab ich ganz gute Erfahrungen mit Lexmark. Allerdings nur Drucker und nix mit Scanner.

Den fände ich interessant:

Gibts auch 4 Jahre Garantie wenn man sich registriert.

Da der PCL kann und eine PPD verfügbar ist, sollte das problemlos möglich sein da drauf zu drucken.
Wie sieht das mit dem Scanner aus? Laut Lexmark gibts nen Linuxtreiber, allerdings nur für die üblichen Verdächtigen wie SuSE, RedHat, Ubuntu, Ubuntu, etc. als RPM oder DEB.


Hat jemand so was am laufen?

Hi,

ich habe mir mal das RPM Paket angesehen. Es ist eine ganze Menge Zeugs da drin, das eventuell nicht gebraucht wird. Was jedoch interessant ist, ist ein Ordner mit libs für SANE. Vielleicht kannst du nur die kopieren und dann den Scanner via Netzwerk ansprechen.

Hey, danke Dir für den Aufwand. Das wäre natürlich super wenn das ginge.
Ich versuchs die Tage, wenn ich etwas Zeit finde und melde mich wieder.

So, jetzt hab ich etwas Zeit gefunden:

Also, bin folgendermaßen vorgegangen:

Lexmark Scanner Treiber heruntergeladen (lexmark_network-scan-linux-glibc2_06082017_x86_64.rpm) und nach /tmp kopiert
emerge -av app-arch/alien (Um RPM nach tgz zu konvertieren)
cd /tmp
alien -t --scripts lexmark_network-scan-linux-glibc2_06082017_x86_64.rpm
tar -xvzf lexmark-network-scan-3.1.0.0.tgz
cd usr/local/   <-- Wichtig nicht /usr, sondern das in /tmp
rsync -trulogxvp lexmark /usr/local/  <-- Inhalt nach /usr/local/ kopieren
cd install/
./doinst.sh   <-- Installskript ausführen



Danach kann ich den Scanner sehen:

scanimage -L
device `lexmark_nscan:libnet/SPECIFY_DEVICE' is a Lexmark Network Scanner
device `lexmark_nscan:libnet/0021B7478309' is a Lexmark Lexmark MX317dn Ethernet Scanner


Ist zwar etwas aufwendig zu Scannen, er legt ein Kurzwahlziel für den PC an, aber es funktioniert!
