Hi,

I'm a bit lost with an issue on an ARM64 system. Every emerge runs successfully but stops at the end w/
Code:
bash: line 1: 7: Bad file descriptor
.
It's an odroid hc2 and was so far running very smooth. Today I updated the kernel from hardkernel git to 4.14.55 and did some cleanup as the sd-card was running out of space. So I may have deleted something accidently but don't know where to look for.

Please see the output of "emerge --info" with the "hang" and hitting "^C" afterwards.
Code:
odroid_hc2 /etc/portage # emerge --info
Portage 2.3.40 (python 3.5.5-final-0, default/linux/arm/13.0/armv7a, gcc-6.4.0, glibc-2.26-r7, 4.14.55+ armv7l)

KeyboardInterrupt

Note that I have a recent backup of the system but I would like to avoid the process of restoring, syncing and building the kernel again as it will take *some* time on a system w/ a SD card.
Any help would be appreciated.

--- edit ---
I found the problem myself and have to admit that the problem was in front of the keyboard :-(. I had a midnight commander session running in background (^O) and that caused emerge not to return properly. Sorry for this post ...

Glad you solved it and even more glad that you gave the fix.
Just checked in to take this off the "unanswered posts" list since you solved it.
