Hi, all,
I have one of thses https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rosewill-Internal-Reader-Ports-RCR-IM5001/dp/B003WLZNH4 in my desktop.
According to everything I have found, it ;s compatible with Linux kernel 2.4+. Which is great.
However, as I'm configuring the kernel, I'm not sure which of those chipsets listed under each category (such as MMC) is supposed to actually work. I'm currently booted in SRCD and chroot into the desktop system, building the kernel. I don't see it listed at all in lsmod, nor in lspci.
Do I just enable the root MMC and Memorystick trees (and the respective generic block drivers underneth eeach tree) and leave it at that ? _________________

You could still just build them as modules and let eudev find it for you no? |

As in build every one under the tree as a module?
OK, I'll give that a shot - I suppose that once it finds the right onw I can then (if I choose) remove the other.
Thanks. _________________
