The question should have been 'everything in the picture, apart from the table', when you buy a table you don't go to the store and say I want something that's 9mm or whatever.

You say, 'that'll fit nicely in the dining room that will'

And if you're married, your wife will disagree and spend the next three hours looking at identical tables.

Nope, no indication of measurement.

If there is no indication of measurement, how do you assert that it isn't metric?

No can't prove a negative - rather, as setter of this particular riddle - the ball is in your court to define the parameters of said riddle.

No direct statement of measurement for said table, JB sticks fingers in bracers (I've seen lawyers do this on TV), your honour the case for the prosecution rests.

IOW - the table / desk / piece of wood that all the tools and the bullets are sitting on is not proven to be metric. Whether it actually is or not is irrelevant.

Part of whatever is made of wood is in the picture, yes. The holes in it are, yes.

But are you even sure it is a table and not a solid base for a countertop?

Whatever it is - it wasn't declared in the specification for said quiz.

Which is what I was leading up to. All we know is that it is some sort of surface, wihhc has 2 hole sin it.

No reference to size, dimensions, nor units used to derive said dimensions.

As a result, other than the possibility of the 2 holes (being significant because of the number 2) it is irrelevant whether the surface is, in face, using SI units of measurement or not.
