hello!
I made an update @world a few days ago and it seems that something went wrong...
I ended without some essentiel package after cleanup, noticed that my world file don't include everything I emerged...
but the baddest issue I'm facing is that when I do a startxfce4, I just get a blank screen with a cursor.... 8O
so I googled and found some stuff to test, installed xfwm and got a wm... installed openbox and it's working, launched xfc4-terminal and it's working... looked in home, removed config files about xfce, gtk and few others.. no success... xorg.log don't show anything useful...
I launched glxgears and opengl is working, the intel driver used is the right one....
so basicaly everything is working fine!!!!
but xfce4 only show me a white screen with a mouse...
tried also with root and same result...

any idea?
thanks and regards

Just a sanity check. Can you create a new user temporarily and try if that one works?

useradd -m -G users,wheel,audio,video -s /bin/bash username

I had the same problem. A Google search lead me to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=901789
Downgrade from xfwm4-4.13.0-r1 to xfwm4-4.12.4 worked for me.
