Everything fails to emerge with error:
Code: | /usr/bin/install: relocation error: /lib64/libacl.so.1: symbol getxattr version ATTR_1.0 not defined in file libattr.so.1 with link time reference |
BTW i see that the first to update is new acl pkg.
p.s. just tried with - that doesn't help. |

No, not because of GOLD, I hit the same issue with sys-apps/attr-2.4.48-r1, compiled with forced BFD ld
Code: | ls -l /lib64/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Jun 19 23:11 libattr.so.1 -> libattr.so.1.1.2448
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 22312 Jun 19 23:11 libattr.so.1.1.2448 |
Recovered with binary pkg of previous version sys-apps/attr-2.4.47-r2 by qtbz2 -s and tar, copy shared libraries to lib64 and re-emerged version 2.4.47-r2 after masked 2.4.48-r1 |

Err... the topic pointed by fedeliallalinea says that it caused by gold. I used gold too.

And i wasn't able to do many things, for example Code: | tar -xpf acl-2.2.53.tbz2 | caused same error as emerge, so i decided to boot from live-usb. |

I forgot to mention I picked binaries from my before-upgraded snapshot. I keep a clean stage3 in my machine, where I can chroot to and use command quickpkg or ROOT=<root-of-broken-gentoo> emerge --config-root=<root-of-broken-gentoo> to recover any broken package |
