Tried upgrading the kernel on a VM of mine the other day and it boots just fine, but I've noticed its not able to load modules.
Code: | overflow in relocation type 10 val (some hex)
(module name) likely not compiled with -mcmodel=kernel |
The kernel I tried was 4.9.106, I rolled it back to 4.9.100 and it works just fine. A thread on -user would seem to suggest that 4.9.106 and up are broken.
Anyone else on here had problems? _________________

4.9 doesn't work for me so I went with unstable kernels some time back. So while I can't say anything about 4.9.100 vs 4.9.106, the newer kernels seem to be fine. |

I might try upgrading the VM guest to 4.14.x but sadly I can't do that to the host itself since it's got nvidia graphics in it. _________________
