If I try to connect to whatsapp web, The tab always crashes, either before or after I scan the qr code.
I tried this with firefox-bin and I can connect properly.
This was not a problem 2 weeks ago.

are you using testing glibc ?
have you tried with any other browser ?

have you tried with clean browser profile ?

Looks like a segfault.

the culprit seems to be glibc - i assume there's already a bug report regarding (testing) glibc version and some browsers !
that is why i switched back to stable long time a go (complete re-install) and only some packages from testing.
i hope you'll find a patch or workaround.

Where is the bug report?
What version of glibc should I downgrade to?
Do I have to recompile librewolf too?

Seems like sys-libs/glibc-2.37-r2 is the lowest I can go before portage screams an me.
Back to square 1 in seems.

Looks like it was mostly fixed in firefox 113. Guess I have to wait for librewolf to catch up. I'll try to mix and match libraries until then

| That site you mentioned doesn't crash the tab for me, I got librewolf-112.0.2_p1, I got glibc-2.37-r3 but got clang in my useflags. |

I'll try to compile with clang.
Why should the compiler used matter here though?
Also a more general question, is there any reason to prefer clang over gcc?

I compiled www-client/librewolf-112.0.2_p1 with USE="X clang eme-free gmp-autoupdate hardened lto openh264 pgo pulseaudio system-av1 system-harfbuzz system-icu system-jpeg system-libevent system-libvpx system-webp" and things worked.
I compiled www-client/firefox-113.0 with USE="X eme-free gmp-autoupdate hardened lto openh264 pgo pulseaudio system-av1 system-harfbuzz system-icu system-jpeg system-libevent system-libvpx system-webp" and things also worked, even without USE="clang".
