Staley was the only reason I bothered to listen. I thought it was good on its own merit, despite the influence of Jane / Rage.

Some say the cello sounds like the human voice.

This one is growing on me.

Bleed

Just think of the vocals as more of an instrument.

in this case take a deep breath and relax: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovqGy7HEFeU as this is only instrumental.
this came in as wanted SPAM: https://sunsofarqa.bandcamp.com/track/ageng-mimansa-3 an instrumental harmonic/disharmonic composition of sounds and noises. abstract yet you can see forming shapes.

heartbeat??? i was thinking a few second of that cluster thing which goes with corosync.
anyway i still wanted to to post this: x-dream electromagnetivity. fuck fashists!!!
this adjusts your brain frequencies to 4hz or 8hz i think which is REM. safer than do the the heart stimulator operation. Muso would agree.

Recently started on this. I'll need a few more listenings to appreciate the full depth of the piece, but thought I'd mention it now because, well, wow, on so many different levels.

D.E. Knuth's Fantasia Apocalyptica The complete performance is toward the bottom, but do read the whole page to understand the piece's background.

Recommended to put some time aside and listen on the best equipment you have or can get access to. It's a pipe organ. Some of those notes can be bone-shaking.

I was reading and skimming trying to understand how he translated it, but it wasn't making much sense. When he mentions numbers in the Bible (2, 3, 3.5, etc.) I thought that was supposed to be a literal translation of notes or a pattern.

For others interested, that page references a talk he gave on how he came up with the music. He starts talking at 6 minutes, and the direct explanation of how he composed starts at ~22 minute mark. A short explanation, at least as I understand it: he interprets key words or elements musically, and "arbitrarily" (although possibly influenced by the works of others). He then went through that process for each word or element (100+) to make sure they all "fit" in the bigger picture of the completed work.

Interesting, but not what I was expecting at first read.

dear Sirs and Madams,

i have been looking for a long time time for new good music at the "In Your Ear" Music thread at Gentoo. I found some but still anything was missing. One day i remembered the name of one server. The servers name goes by diyaudio.com. And that is where i have found this forum subsection: https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/music/ and that hit is incredible.

Got now a lot of research/spamming work to do there. Please do not panic i am not leaving the Gentoo forums. I just move my spam requests to some other forum for the reason that it might be better suited there.

Love and XXX

E
