Hello!

I have problems while trying to start games on my machine.
For instance:
Code:
$ ./LaMulana.bin.x86
./LaMulana.bin.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

$ ./botanicula
Error loading the runtime (libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

I have tried to find out if I am missing some library but I can't seems to figure it out.
Also it seems like the problem is related to running 32-bit versions of apps instead of 64-bit. Because the games I tried that have both versions available, the 64-bit version works while the 32-bit does not.

Any idea of how I can solve this?

Thank you!
Langest

libGL.so.1 is provided by mesa (or some others close driver like nvidia) and probably you should enable abi_x86_32 use flag.
For botanicula seems missing libgtk-x11 provided by x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.31-r1

I have mesa installed that is why I got confused to why I didn't have libGL.so.1 available. But then it probably is the use flag.

Thank you for the help! Is there any way I can check in which package libs are available or is it just searching for them in the search engine and hoping you get the answer?

In this case I just searched lib in my system and then I looked at who it belonged to (equery b).
But usually the name and a search in web help.
There is also http://www.portagefilelist.de/site/query but it doesn't always work well
