After updating my system today, dolphin was crashing with an unrecognized symbol. Therefore I reinstalled it. Afterwards, I ran revdep-rebuild to make sure nothing else was needed.
/var/cache/revdep-rebuild/3_broken.rr contains only 3 lines:
Code: | obj /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/platforms/KWinQpaPlugin.so
obj /usr/lib64/R/library/sodium/libs/sodium.so
/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/platforms/KWinQpaPlugin.so |
However, revdep-rebuild wants to rebuild 1591 packages, probably almost all packages installed. emerge @preserved-rebuild finds nothing.
Can somebody explains this ?
Thanks for your help.

I once had a similar problem, I believe I solved it by clearing the .rr files in /var/cahce/revdep-rebuild.
I think that if revdep-rebuild is interrupted before it can complete that it will leave these files behind, which somehow causes it to think everything needs to be rebuilt next time it is run. _________________ OS: Gentoo 6.7.3-gentoo-dist, ~amd64, 17.1/desktop/plasma/systemd/merged-usr
