Hi All:

I like to keep up with the cutting edge of evolution and evince (though I'm on xfce) and the newest version on gnome-next require net-libs/libpsl which won't build:

Code:
make[2]: Entering directory '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1-abi_x86_32.x86/include'
make[2]: Nothing to be done for 'all'.
make[2]: Leaving directory '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1-abi_x86_32.x86/include'
Making all in src
make[2]: Entering directory '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1-abi_x86_32.x86/src'
./psl-make-dafsa --output-format=cxx+ "../list/public_suffix_list.dat" suffixes_dafsa.c
: python_wrapper_setup: python2 is not supported by python3.5 (PYTHON_COMPAT)
make[2]: *** [Makefile:790: suffixes_dafsa.c] Error 127
make[2]: Leaving directory '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1-abi_x86_32.x86/src'
make[1]: *** [Makefile:519: all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1-abi_x86_32.x86'
make: *** [Makefile:428: all] Error 2
 * ERROR: net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1::gnome-next failed (compile phase):
 *   emake failed
 *
 * If you need support, post the output of `emerge --info '=net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1::gnome-next'`,
 * the complete build log and the output of `emerge -pqv '=net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1::gnome-next'`.
 * The complete build log is located at '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/temp/build.log'.
 * The ebuild environment file is located at '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/temp/environment'.
 * Working directory: '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1-abi_x86_32.x86'
 * S: '/tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/work/libpsl-0.20.1'

I've tried putting "-pthon2_7" as a use flag but that didn't work.
Scratching my head as both evince and evolution (the latest) need this.

Cheers,
john

You should post with wgetpaste
Code:
[*] /tmp/portage/net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1/temp/build.log
[*] emerge --info '=net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1::gnome-next'
[*] emerge -pqv '=net-libs/libpsl-0.20.1::gnome-next'

It seems a ebuild problem, a workaroud is commend sed command in src_prepare function
Code:
src_prepare() {
#   sed -i "s/env python/env python2/g" src/psl-make-dafsa || die
    multilib_copy_sources
    eapply_user
}

You can report problem in github overlay site.

I'm not sure if my workaroud is correct but package compile fine

Hi All:

Did a layman -S this morning and everything built fine so looks like the maintainer fixed the ebuild.

Cheers,
John
