|
|
I have a directory with films on my gentoo box shared over nfs for my hardware media player (powered by android). After upgrade of nfs-utils from 1.3.4-r1 to 2.3.1-r3 that media player just hangs on scanning nfs shares. In syslog on gentoo box i see the mount requests from media player like :
Code: |
rpc.mountd[3715]: authenticated mount request
|
The media player offers no logs for user to see.
The /etc/exports is
Code: |
/area1/films 192.168.100.0/24(async,ro,no_subtree_check,insecure)
|
Reverting nfs-utils back to 1.3.4 solves the problem.
What can i do to make it work with the new nfs-utils ? |

did you check whether you are using nfsv4 or nfsv3, and sever and client agree on the version ? |

I use default /etc/conf.d/nfs on my gentoo box and my hardware media player has no settings to change about nfs. As i understand some nfs-utils default settings have changed since 1.3.4-r1 to 2.3.1-r3. So i'd like to find out what exactly to change it back. |
