I have been mugging around OpenWRT/LEDE for some time, mostly with mips_24kc hardware (e.g. https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/gl-inet/gl-ar150 )
While I can make many things work, I often hit underwater rocks trying to do something more complex :-|
I have been using Gentoo for 16 years on x86/amd64, so was hoping to get it to run on those tiny things as well.
No, I don't plan to emerge packages there, I'll even strip all dev tools and may be /usr/portage, but I want the configuration and a full-blown CLI.
One way will be to rip out OpenWRT and use their build system (steep learning, slow trial-error), of course. Or can I plug their toolchain into crossdev somehow?
Has anybody been able to cross-compile a stage3 for mips_24kc ? |
