i know my question is not related directly to this topic but how can one install ALL xfce4 packages ???
Code: | emerge -pC $(qlist -ICv xfce) | was mentioned above, i tried Code: | emerge -av $(qlist -ICv xfce) | but that did not did the trick ..

I doesn't work because the command:
only make a list of installed packages.
to install xfce follow the guide https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Xfce/Guide |

Since it wasn't related to the other thread, I'm not leaving a link reference.
While you are correct regarding qlist -I, the guide does not describe how to install all xfce4 packages as the original user requested.
